Introduction
Your privacy is important to divePRO S.A. (" divePRO ", "we", "us", or "our"). This Cookie Policy provides you with information on our usage of cookies, pixel tags, software development kits (SDKs), and similar technologies (collectively, "Technologies") when you visit our website (www.divepro.gr), use the divePRO Cloud platform, or use our mobile application (divePRO App).
To find information on our processing of personal data related to website functionality (such as making a purchase) or other divePRO products, services, or desktop or mobile applications, please review our Privacy Policy.
What Are Cookies?
This site uses cookies. We use cookies mainly to improve and analyze your experience on our websites and for marketing purposes.
Cookies
They are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies can perform a variety of functions, such as remembering your information so that you do not have to enter it again or supporting shopping cart functionality. Cookies may either be placed by the website operator (first-party cookies) or placed by another party, such as a search engine, business partner, or advertising network (third-party cookies). Some cookies expire when you close your browser tab or window (session cookies), and others remain until they expire or are deleted (persistent cookies). If you want to learn more about cookies in general, you can visit informational websites, such as allaboutcookies.org or aboutcookies.org.
Pixels & Tags
They are tiny graphic images or code snippets that allow us to track conversion from ads and website usage.
Mobile SDKs (Software Development Kits)
It is a code embedded in our mobile apps that functions similarly to cookies, allowing us to collect information about app performance, device ID, and user activity.
Log Files
We gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes IP addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp and clickstream data. We use this for security purposes and to analyze trends.
Tag Management Systems
These are services that help us manage the cookies and scripts on our website (tags). While they do not strictly use cookies themselves, they are essential for controlling which cookies are active.
Why Do We Use Them?
We use these Technologies for four main purposes:
(a) Strictly Necessary (Required Cookies)
These are required to perform basic functions of the divePRO Cloud and App. They include technologies that allow you to access secure areas, sync your divePRO Device with the Cloud, and make purchases.
Any personal data from Strictly Necessary (Required Cookies) will be retained in an identified manner by divePRO only as long as needed for monitoring, logging, and compliance purposes.
The legal ground for processing this personal data for these purposes is our legitimate interest to detect and prevent fraudulent activity and to ensure the security of our website and services, such as detecting repeated login failures or preventing fraudulent activities.
Examples: User authentication (keeping you logged in), security tokens, shopping cart contents, and device synchronization protocols.
Consent: You cannot opt-out of these, as the service cannot function without them.
(b) Performance & Analytics
These allow us to analyze how users interact with our services so we can measure and improve performance. We use this data to troubleshoot crashes, improve our diving algorithms, and understand which features are most popular.
Key Providers: Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Firebase Crashlytics (for App stability).
(c) Functionality
These Functional Cookies allow us to remember choices you make to provide a more personalized experience. While most cookies in this category are session cookies, some cookies persist for a longer period of time due to the purpose.
Any personal data from Functional Cookies will be retained in an identified manner by divePRO only as long as needed for purposes of analysis.
Where required by law, the legal ground for processing this personal data is your consent, which you can revoke at any time by managing your cookie preferences as described below.
Examples: Remembering your preferred language, your unit of measurement (Metric vs. Imperial), or your local time zone for dive logs.
Video Content: We may use services like Youtube or Vimeo to stream video content (e.g. tutorials). When you play a video, these third parties may place cookies on your device to track video usage.
(d) Advertising & Targeting (Commercial Use)
These advertising cookies record your visit to our site/app, the pages you have visited, and the links you have followed. We use this information to make our website and the advertising displayed on it (and on third-party platforms like Facebook/Instagram) more relevant to your interests. We also may use your IP address to estimate your general location (city/ country level) to suggest nearby dive sites or display relevant content, even if precise Location Services are disabled on your device.
Any personal data from Advertising Cookies will be retained in an identified manner by divePRO only as long as needed for purposes of analysis.
Where required by law, the legal ground for processing this personal data is your consent, which you can revoke at any time by managing your cookie preferences as described below.
Note: As per our Terms of Service, we may use aggregated data collected through these technologies for commercial purposes.
Key Providers: Meta Pixel (Facebook), Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight Tag.
Mobile App Specific Technologies
Unlike web browsers, mobile apps do not use traditional cookies. Instead, we use Mobile Identifiers (such as the IDFA on iOS or Advertising ID on Android) to recognize your device. We use these to:
- Maintain your login session across app restarts.
- Sync dive data from your divePRO Device to the Cloud.
- Deliver relevant notifications.
- Track app installation sources (attribution).
Third-Party Providers
Where third parties collect information through cookies, such as for targeted advertisements, you may also be able to opt out of these practices specifically. We may also allow third-party service providers to place cookies or similar technologies on your device for the purposes listed above. These providers include:
Payment Processors: (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) for fraud detection and payment security.
Map Services: (e.g., Google Maps, Mapbox) to display dive locations.
Social Media: (e.g., Facebook, Instagram) to allow you to share your dives or log in via social accounts.

When you first visit our website, you are presented with a Cookie Banner. You can choose to "Accept All", "Reject All" (except Necessary), or manage your preferences via "Settings". You can update these preferences at any time via the footer on our website.
